Communication Training for International Business Leaders

Direct feedback from my clients

It's frustrating when you know your business, but things seem to get lost in translation.

You might notice

  • You lose trust: Clients or colleagues feel frustrated because they don't have all the information they need.
  • You avoid opportunities: You don't reach out to new leads because you're worried about your English.
  • You waste resources: You spend valuable time and money fixing mistakes and re-explaining simple things.

That's where I come in.

Most people think they need a big vocabulary and perfect grammar to be professional and succeed, but that's not true. You just need two things:

Plain Language: Business jargon and slang cause confusion. I help you explain your ideas using simple, clear words. When you speak simply, everyone understands you the first time.

Cultural Context: You may know the words, but do you know how and when to use them? Cultural context is key. I show you how to adapt your style for people from different backgrounds.

How do I know? I've been in your shoes.

I know how it feels to be the outsider because I've lived abroad since 2011.

When I lived in China and spoke broken Mandarin, I always worried about making mistakes and being judged, or saying something that would offend my colleagues.

But during that time, I realized something important.

The most successful people were not the ones with perfect language skills. They were the ones who knew how to bridge the gap between two different worlds.

That's why I became passionate about bridging the gaps between language and culture, helping people communicate clearly and understand each other better.

And I created my programs because I want to give you the shortcuts I had to learn the hard way.

I don't just give you the same old boring grammar rules and vocabulary lists; I help you understand the cultural nuance, giving you the confidence to speak up without fear of misunderstanding.

Am I the right trainer for you?

Many of my clients have had success while working with me, but I won't be the right fit for everyone.

We will work well together if:

  • You are self-motivated: You don’t need me to hold your hand or remind you to do your work. You take action because you want to grow.
  • You are open-minded: You are ready to try new ways of thinking and speaking, even if they feel strange at first.
  • You respect time: You value your time and mine. You show up ready to focus and get things done.
  • You like a relaxed style: I am a professional, but I am not a "stiff" or overly formal person. I like to keep things real and incorporate humor.

I am NOT the right trainer for you if:

  • You want a traditional teacher: If you want someone to just give you grammar tests and act very formal, you will not like my style.
  • You want me to do the work for you: I provide the tools and the map, but you are the driver. If you aren't ready to practice, you won't see results.
  • You are stuck in your ways: If you aren't open to feedback or willing to change, my training won't help you.

What my clients say

I highly recommend Megan. She has a remarkable ability to tailor her lessons to my interests, making the learning process engaging and effective. Her professional English skills are invaluable, providing me with the confidence to communicate effectively in English.

Additionally, she is incredibly helpful in preparing me for specific needs, such as crafting professional presentations. Her flexibility in scheduling ensures that I always have the support I need.

- Francisco  S., Brazil

I must say that she has good sources of information, all the discussion topics and articles were very interesting. Talking with her allowed me to expand and express my opinion with confidence and I felt listened to in a patient and kind way.

Megan not only knows about English, she has extensive knowledge of other areas. I recommend her to anyone interested in improving their level of English and applying it in their work or career.
